Affordable and reliable energy through subsea technology
In the industry, we aim for energy to be available, sustainable, and affordable. We continuously seek solutions, navigate this energy trilemma, and preferably extract more energy with the least possible effort. Driving technology development is an important part in achieving this.
The Underwater Technology Conference (UTC) 2024 will bring inspiration, ideas, and discussions in technology development within the subsea industry. Over three days, 11th-13th of June, we will look at changes in the global perspective, address the developments over the last year, and see what the energy sector will look like going forward. You will learn more about the newest insights in subsea technology, wind power, carbon capture and storage, and solving challenges in the transition towards renewable energy. This is your chance to visit Bergen and join UTC’s 30th conference for the future of subsea technology development.
Norway has historically been far ahead globally in the development of technology at the seabed. With enormous pressures at 4000 meters below the sea surface, good execution is required for various projects – and in this field Norway present world leading technology. With skilled people from the industry, and keynotes from among others Petrobras, Shell and Vår Energi, we will discuss solutions and inspire to achieve affordable energy through technology advancement.
UTC is an opportunity for good collaborations and partnerships. During the conference, you are part of a larger community. Here you have the chance to speak with people from the entire industry, present your services or products, and engage in thought processes. With main sponsors Equinor and OneSubsea, you get a program filled with inspiration from key players in the industry.
In this year’s program, you can plan your days around what you find interesting. We have prioritized breaks between the three parallel sessions, making it possible to network and switch sessions so you can attend what you find exciting. In addition, you should not underestimate the conference dinner on day 1 and use the breaks well to talk with industry experts, leaders, colleagues, and other participants.
Welcome to UTC 2024 – We are looking forward to seeing you June 11th in Bergen, Norway.
The most important thing we need to do to solve the trilemma is to collaborate and work together, and find solutions together, across competitors, suppliers, and the whole subsea domain.

It has been amazing to connect with so many different people, seeing all the cool developments that Norwegian companies are doing here.
– Frida Berglund, DNV
UTC is a very important conference for us because we’re talking to experts in the field, the people who know what the future is like, business and technology wise. It is great to be here to present the technology.
